Q: So it's a 3-Day Cleanse, how much time is "really" involved?
I'd say to allow 1-2 days of prep: read the manual to understand the protocol; buy ingredients if you plan to do your own juicing; source your juices if you plan to buy from a local, organic juice shop; transition off of certain foods; and simply allow the mental space for a cleanse. Following the three days of juicing, allow 1-2 days of transition back to solid foods (meal suggestions included). The transition is very important so you don't yo-yo and overeat post-juicing, unraveling all the good you've done!
Q: Won't three days of juicing be pretty intense?
This cleanse can be as intense or as gentle as you wish it to be. The first day will be the toughest so just knowing that can help you endure. But if you need a bit more sustenance, recipes are included for a potassium vegetable broth or homemade nut milks. A light, warming midday meal (such as a grain + steamed vegetables) can be added if you know you need more gusto. Lastly, I'll say that though this cleanse is based on "three days", your body will also thank you for just one day of a break from normal eating. Before you begin, create your Juice Cleanse intention and keep this in mind to decide how far to take it.
You decide when to begin. Look at your calendar and choose a date. Commit.
Re-do it whenever you need a quick detour back to balance.
